Gary Williams
Gary currently serves as the Event Manager for UVA Athletics and is based in our Charlottesville, Virginia Office. In this position, Gary is directly responsible for managing personnel and logistics at all University of Virginia Athletic events. These events range from 1 staff member to over 400 for a Hoo’s football game. In addition, Gary works closely with UVA Athletic officials on a daily basis both planning and preparing for the hundreds of events hosted at UVA Athletic facilities on an annual basis.
Gary joined the RMC Events team in 2010 as a part-time employee where he managed large scale parking operations in the Richmond area such as the State Fair of Virginia, Richmond Raceway Complex and University of Richmond Athletic Events.
In May of 2013, Gary came on board as a full time Event Manager, overseeing VCU Athletics, Brown’s Island, Kings Dominion and a variety of parking related events. Gary transitioned to his current role in Charlottesville in November 2013.
Gary attended Old Dominion University where he studied Criminal Justice and Law. In the summer of 2009, he became the Sports Information Intern at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA where he was responsible for 16 NCAA Athletic teams. During this time, Gary managed gameday operations for the Yellow Jackets as well as staffing student workers and NCAA Compliance. Gary was named the Interim Sports Information Director in January 2013.
Gary also spent three seasons working at Kings Dominion as an Investigator for the Security Department where he was a sworn Special Conservator of the Peace.
